TerTerminalmanagementsoftware Am-Zehnhoff Söns

Modality has been supporting the IT processes of Am Zehnhoff-Söns in Bonn Germany for over 18 years. The terminal management software ICMS was repeatedly adapted to the current requirements of the logistics service provider and terminal operator. With the opening of another terminal in Trier and the growing complexity of transport processes, a project was set up within the group of companies to align the processes and software systems for the future.

“After intensive market analysis, it quickly became clear that we wanted to implement this project with our long-standing partner Modality”, says Andreas Am Zehnhoff-Söns, “because no other software provider has so much experience in this area”. After intensive cooperation, the new ICMS version was put into live operation in April 2018. It contains a flexible transport management system in which the transport processes can be clearly displayed using different modes of transport. A newly integrated route planning with Gantt-Chart supports dispatching in the areas of local and long-distance transport. Interfaces to clients and subcontractors facilitate the error-free transmission of data and reduce the work of data entry. All processes at both locations are completely covered by a single system, from the preparation of quotations to the connection of crane systems and invoicing. With the help of the new system, it was also possible to overcome the difficult small water period in autumn.

Andreas: “In view of the increasing digitalization of business processes, we are optimally positioned for the future challenges in the logistics industry with our partner Modality and its ICMS software.”
